Sorry but this is the most complicated site I have EVER used. First I was banned during registration, next I couldn't post a smile in my intro, and I did not trigger my illnesses or my spouses. I've never read so many Terms and Conditions pages on one site. For someone like me, who is wary of the net in the first place and have anxiety conditions, it's a little much. All I was trying to so was rate the depression meds I've been on. Very irritating. Sorry and good luck to you all. Smile (if I'm allowed to.)

Hello Jayne, Welcome to PC

Sorry you are finding it tough to navigate and are having some technical problems. Hopefully someone else will be able to explain that for you (i cant, i am bad with technology).
but i can tell you that it's worth sticking out, PC is a wonderful source of support

i have to suppose i had difficulty when i first came here, too (memory impairments),, because it IS such a large and complicated site, with so many offerings. i am so much at home now, that it's difficult to remember what to tell newcomers. most of the rules are to keep people safe, i like that.

i posted a small tutorial earlier, in the New Members Forum, called FAQ for New Members (i think) that might help you. scroll down or use Search to find it. if you don't find it, click on my name and leave me a note, i'll send you the link.

best wishes~
Gus

it's a big forum (surprisingly though not the biggist i've used)

it's hard to navigate at first and get used to everything- but it does get easier

in fact, i've come up with a rather novel idea of navigating the site

i've written a document, with a list of forums in the order they are shown on here- makes it a whole lot easier when i'm looking for 1 i don't use too often.

I had some trouble when I first joined too. I get confused easily. I know when you first join, there are certain restrictions until you post 5 (I think?) comments. After that you can get into chat, etc

I've navigated, a few BB styled forums, in the past. There's a 'Quick Links' at the top, where you can see 'today's posts'. There's the New Posts link, at the top, where you can view new posts, since you last logged in. Scrolling up, and down, you can get a feel for the forums, that you feel most comfortable in, and frequent those. The threads that you've read, will no longer be in a bolder color. You can return to your profile and see, where you've posted, so that you can return there.

It takes time.

Sad to hear you're having issues with the site. Most sites that I know of have just as many guidelines and rules...and on some of those sites I, too, experienced being banned without so much as a chat with admin I was naive about forum sites back then...

This is a good site, really. Try just sticking to one or two forums in which to post, while you become acclimated, maybe?

Hi and welcome

Once you make a few more posts, and take a little time looking around here, it will go smoother. It's very worth the effort

We are here to help you with any issues, if we can.

I hope you give us another change Jst_Jayne. Yes, to echo everyone else, this site is enormous with so many features, but well worth the effort of getting to know.

It was easier for me as I joined many years ago and the site was much much smaller then and I was able to grow with it. It was overwhelming for me, even back then. So I understand your trepidation.
