I tried to get into chat and just get a blank gray screen, no matter what room I try. Has something changed recently that I missed or is that part down? I am using a PC not a mobile device and have been able to access chat before. IT has been a few months since I was on though.

Doing those did nothing for my problem. Not a pop up blocker as I got a pop-up but it was blank. Cache was cleared. Flash is up to date. Will try again tomorrow.

It's crazy, but try this. Several features in the site weren't working for me for a couple of months. I got the suggestion to reset the page's font size to default in the browser. The features worked again, even when I scrolled the font to a larger size again. EG in mozilla firefox that's View>Zoom>Reset in the dropdown menu bar.
