is their an easier way to find your own threads or replies that you've posted without looking endlessly through others in the forum?

Click on your name where it says welcome yourname at the upper right. Then click on statistics.

dealing with the same issue; I posted my first thread today and it wont even appear in the stats....

You can also click on your username in any thread, and click on the menu option that says, "Find more posts by your-username."
Misplaced, you are a new member, and as such, all of your initial posts have to be reviewed by a moderator (as we note in the welcome PM to each new member). You can't view or review your posts until they've been approved by a moderator (which can take up to 24 hours, but usually is done within a few hours most times). DocJohn
