This is our third and final round of testing of the new chat system:

Powered by Pro Chat Rooms v8.0.9

Mobile chat (if you're on a mobile device):

http://forums.psychcentral.com/newchat/mobile/

and let us know what you think about them in this thread. (You have to be logged in.)

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful feedback and comments.

DocJohn

Are they the same rooms? Or are the Mobile device rooms different rooms?
Will there be hosted chats in the mobile rooms?

They are the same rooms and connect to the same chat system, meaning mobile users will have the same access to chat as everyone else (finally!!).

Hosted chats will be in the Auditorium for mine, and wherever else people usually host theirs.

Best,
DocJohn

Yes, that's one of the things we're still working on is the initial load time. Too long right now and hope to have this fixed sometime tomorrow...

Logged into the chat. Was able to log in much more smoothly than earlier.
But my user name still shows as SilentEff(h~lk .
And when I try to message or type something I get the error message "Username contains invalid character: ("

every time I try to get into chat I click on chat or lobby and it only refreshes the page. If for some reason I do manage to get threw it takes forever then it says Authentication denied. What in the world does that mean and how do I get into chat now. I am not sure I like this new systym.
Thanks for this!

We're sorry for the delay in rolling out the new chat rooms, there was a little hiccup with one item on the "must do" list which we are actively working on.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Okay, anyone who's name was messed up the last time you tried it, if you could try it again and let us know. That should be the final issue we're waiting to verify is fixed before the rollout... thanks!

Hit "No Pop Up Chat" scroll to the bottome of page and see where it says Enter Chat. I can get on that way.

Hi folks,

Thanks for testing the new chat rooms -- this is a thread ONLY for comments & feedback about the NEW chat rooms (the links are at the top of this thread). Please post in a separate thread if using "No pop-up chat" for the old chat room isn't help you...

Thanks!
DocJohn
