Why should I block a whole forum when it is the odd thread that could do with a trigger sticker just like any other triggering thread.

You can report the single thread and put in the comment, needs trigger warning. The mods are pretty good at keeping up with that.

I just did that, thank you but if it had been on it in the first place I would have blocked out the title of it myself. Now I've had to go right into the thread to report it.

Well, to avoid being triggered I suppose.
How would the newsbot know what type of news story might be a trigger to Pegasus? The poor bot can't even remember birthdays half the time

No, i think peg has a very valid point. We usually use abbreviations for certain words, and here it looks like dr john added an article to be picked up by the newsbot, that had rather inflammatory words in the title. If you just go to the newsbot, its not hard to spot. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Im a little surprised myself. Guidelines??

Sorry, the news headlines forum is automated, so no, a trigger icon cannot proactively be put on a thread in that forum by the mods. You simply need to report a post you find triggering and we can then look into it further.
