Anybody familiar with Tapatalk, that can tell me why I'm not able to reply to threads from there? I press the reply button, write and then press send, but nothing happens. It's doing my head in.

Hi Trontine,

Even though you're trying to respond using a legitimate resource (Tapatalk), once still has to become a member of Psych Central in order to be able to post here.

So, please feel free to look over the Community Guidelines http://forums.psychcentral.com/rules...-1-2012-a.html and FAQ Forums at Psych Central - FAQ/Help to gain a better understanding of PC and how our community works. Hopefully, you'll then decide to become a member & you can leave an intro in the New Member's Intro forum! New Member Introductions - Forums at Psych Central

Very best wishes to you!

Yes your first 5 posts are moderated to weed out spam accounts. After 5 posts you may post at will. I use TapaTalk more than I use the actual website.

Hopefully not OT... but is tapatalk reliable now? I have read some really scathing discontent messages about it. (Perhaps it depends upon the reliability of the site you use?)

Anyway, I haven't used tapatalk for that reason.

Tapatalk did work, I just weren't aware of the five first posts being monitored, so I didn't understand why I couldn't see the posts. So the problem had nothing to do with Tapatalk, in fact it wasn't even a problem. I've found Tapatalk to be most reliable.
Thanks for this!

Interesting, using my android phone, I don't have to use tapatalk or anything to post here....I just log in & reply or post as if I were on the normal PC site......is tapatalk necessary? Is it an iphone thing?....just wondering why one would use tapatalk if it weren't something that was manditory to use in order to post?

Just trying to learn about these technical things & the apps & stuff...just got my smart phone last August & I am forever learning how it works & what things I need to make it work better

I find it much more convenient to use, on my phone, than opening the web on my phone. I don't have to 'scroll' and with the way touch screens can be on phones, I find scrolling on a phone touch screen a pain.

So, though, it's not necessary to use Tapatalk to log in, it's a bit easier.
Thanks for this!

Sounds worth it to give it a try now that there is no cost for tapatalk......can compare & use the easiest because you are right scrolling is difficult on these small phones & getting the reply typed in is a challenge.

Thank you for your reply & the information always love to learn about new options

You are welcome. It's set up in a way, it looks a little different, don't see all moods or what you see to the left of the threads themselves. But it certainly has it's pluses.

I liked the cost, too

I downloaded Tapatalk lol as you can see using it now. It does make entering a post a lot easier. Miss the "look" of PC but the ease makes it worth it....thank you for your information on this

I like tapatalk, alot. There's things I can't quite do, with it, hence use of laptop. But adds a certain something.
Too bad, neurotalk isn't on it, yet, *hint**hint*
