I want to know if there's any notifications you can get when someone replies because all I've been doing is checking every now and then to see if I got replies and I don't want to miss out on anybody that replies. How can I know if someone replies without having to go back to the post all the time? (if there's a way let me know)

go to thread tools on the upper right hand side and subscribe to the thread. then all you have to do is go to "my profile" and it will come up with your thread automatically whenever anybody has responded. I don't believe there is any other notification system.

An alert in home screen would be nice.

You already have an alert on your homescreen. When you've subscribe to a thread and it has new posts, it will be bolded on your Profile page:
http://forums.psychcentral.com/usercp.php You do have to subscribe to the thread, however. You can make subscribing to threads automatic and your default if you prefer. You do that here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/profi...do=editoptions in "Messaging & Notifications," under the option, "Default Thread Subscription Mode."
