Hi! What's the difference between contacts and friends? And could you say me also what does 'folder' means? I'm new here and I don't know a lot of things...

welcome Bea... on your Friends List there is a place to enter a name without requesting "Friend" status. that makes a person a Contact, and if you have your settings on your profile Communications set to allow it, they can leave you a message while no one who is not on that list can.

a Folder is a subroutine that allows you to group messages from the same person or on the same topic (or however you decide) and label it, so you can see them all at once, instead of searching through all private messages.

there are some tutorials for new members at the top of this forum, but they do not cover the questions you asked.

best wishes~
Gus
