When I answer to a PM it automatically quotes to message I'm answering to: is it possible to avoid it? Sometimes conversations become very long...

You can simply hi-light and delete the quotes that you don't want in your message in the window where you write/edit your new message.

Another idea is to agree to write any "new" replies on top of the quoted stuff instead of at the bottom. That way you don't have to weed through the quoted stuff but it's there in case you forget a point you or the other has made.
