in light of news on the heartbleed bug I was wondering if psych central was for lack of better words hit by it and whether we should be changing our passwords?
also heads up there are many commonly visited websites like yahoo, gmail, google that have now patched against it but are recommending people change their passwords because this SSL flaw has been open for two years or more, my work has a list of over 100 sites that have been patching and recommending password changes most of which are places I have accounts with but under psych central on our work list says unknown. would love to know where psych central stands on this and whether we should be changing passwords. |

While I am definitely NOT speaking for DocJohn, other places, as you said recommended that you change your passwords. If it makes you feel safer, it might be the best thing to do, but I honestly do not know if it affected anything here or not.

Here is a link to a site that is supposed, at least, to test whether some place is safe or not. However, I think it only works for places that have https addresses, which Psych Central does not:
Test your server for Heartbleed (CVE-2014-0160)

Nope our servers were not affected by this bug since we don't use services dependent upon that technology. Never hurts to change your password from time to time anyway, though, and to always use strong passwords.
