i was curious as to why some links that people put in posts will come up as "http://tinyurl.com" a change in something? nothing too important, just curious.

It's a site (http://tinyurl.com/) which abbreviates long web addresses. For example if I wanted to send you to this page I could paste it in full or make a hyperlink, or alternatively I could go to TinyUrl, paste the address of this page, and it would create a link which would take you there.

No,not dumb.. If you hadn't asked, you wouldn't know. Few ppl remember to use the search and advanced search for previously covered topics... hopefully as each of you learn how, there will be more of us to help the even newer new members links
