It's always good to have the latest version of the Adobe reader and always free to download: http://www.adobe.com/
Usually the software tells you when there's an upgrade. Lots of sites use the recent version so it pays to have that too so you don't have to stop to download then or not be able to look at what the site you're interested in has.
