why do they only have "survivors of abuse" and not a section for people that are currently struggling through some sort of (hypothetical ) abusive situation...?

just curious

Im taking a guess that its because in general the term .......survivor.... covers both those actively going through something, trying to get through it and also those who have already gone through abuse and lived to tell about it. the term .....abuse ....in general covers all forms of abuse (emotional, physical and sexual)

that means anyone who has been or is being emotionally physically and sexually abused, has questions about emotional physical and sexual abuse, and those that perceive their self to have been abused in some way or knows knows someone that has been abused in some way can post in that forum.

like I said...just taking a guess, ultimately only the creator of that forum title can say why he named it as such.

I know it probably seems like a silly question, but thank you for answering. I guess... in my opinion if I were being abused in some way I wouldn't feel like a survivor... it's difficult to explain I guess.
Thanks for this!

Yes, the forum is for those who were and are being abused. So, if you are a survivor or surviving it right now, you are welcome to post there.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
