It starts up ok... but that last little bit of the bar wont go blue lol. I just updated my java Friday night and I seem to have had continuous problems getting in since then. Dont knwo what to do. Cookies are deleted also....

Well I just did that and I tried to get into chat... no go. Its still that last little bit of the blue bar that wont fill out.

Thanks for suggesting this Petunia.. my computer is prolly better for it .. never knew I had to do that . I have also since Friday night deleted cookies, and emptied the cache in my Mozilla browser. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd appreciate it. TY!!!!

Uninstall Java and reinstall?

Try getting in with another browser like IE?

Do you have Windows XP? You can try to restore it to an earlier date when you could access chat?

I really have no clue, just throwing things I would try out there.

What about your internet connection? Sometimes things "time out" so it makes it impossible to do stuff, like use chat stuff.

sorry I dont have any other suggestions but its happened to me before, always fixed itself eventually though.

have you made any changes lately to your computer or internet or any programs installed?

I just saw her in chat so I guess we can stop racking our poor tired brains, lol.

Ok, so it's something that is variable.

I think that the chat server requires a lot of memory, so if you visit the gallery or have a lot of pics and such using up your active memory, you may need to select a larger amount allotted to memory, or clear your cache.

What else do you find variable with your activity?

Sky I am sorry I have no idea of what your talking about with Variables or whatever. lol.. I did empty my cache, cookies all that jazz. and I have been able to get into chat sometimes.. but not all the time. And for the last half hour.. I have been trying to get in there once again and cant. And it is really upsetting me. I have no idea how to remedy this!!!! If I knew anotehr way of fixing this I would but I cant!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. If you know you aren't going into the gallery here and then trying to go into chat... what else are you doing on your computer before you try to go to chat? On both the days you can get into chat, and the days you can't. Those are the variables I was talking about.

Have you cleared your cookies right here on the site? Go to your mailroom and look for COOKIES alongside the other options of um... Mark all as Read... ??? then click on Cookies and clear all of them. This might help.

i was booted out (yeah, nothing new lol) about 15mins ago but can't get back in now... something about a JVM error occuring... i have NO idea what that is about...

Well I have my IM's open. But I've also tried closing them and trying to get in and that isnt working. I also have my browser open ( Mozilla) I've tried getting in with that and also IE . Both are tempermental when trying to get into chat. I am not doing much of anything different either way. Other than trying to close programs and trying to get into chat. I have deleted my cache, cookies online and here too... Basically any kind of maintenance I can do I've tried. Defragging, cleaning disc.. etc. I've updated java too. Nothing is working agian this morning. I have noticed a couple other people have had some problems in GG's thread in General too called Chatters. Its like the screen locks up on them. Thats kinda what its doing when the little blue line is filling in.. I feel its some glitch in the software here or something. But I dont know enough to say it is true.

I have also tried clicking on each individual room instead of just the chat word at the top. I have been trying all day to get in there and its a no go.. I dont know what is wrong!!!!!! And its making me even more upset that I cant talk to anyone!

ok a bit of relief here.. I found out that I can get into the chat rooms at Docs other site Neuro Community. I am very happy that I can talk to someone again!!. Wish I could get in here with the rest of you guys .. but untill this is figured out why I cant.. maybe I'll see you over there. I'll still post here though.. TC Bethy
