Hi all, I hope I got this in the right forum. I am hoping that someone might have suggestions as to good online sources for further facts and information about psychological issues. Thanks for any suggestions.

short version is that one person can find one website to be helpful where as another person may not find that same website to be helpful, not to mention things like location, treatment providers, gender issues, cultural issues, language....and much more goes into whether a person feels one source is better than another....

heres an example.... many people find Wikipedia helpful where as others do not because anyone can edit any of the entries and the owners of that site admitted to placing false information on their site just to prove to people that you cant always believe what you find on the internet. just because something is on the internet doesnt make something true or a good source.

the best sources for information on psychological issues would be a persons own treatment providers or a mental health treatment provider in their own off the internet locations.

its very easy to get information from mental health agencies, just tell them you are researching and need information, most if not all mental health agencies here in america are very open to helping teens, adults, schools, college students and patients/clients get accurate information about mental illness in general and upon request information about more detailed mental disorders.

the only other thing I can suggest is that you are in your location, you know what your cultural and belief systems are. so you would be the best resource for doing an internet search on what ever you are looking for. just type in a search bar on your computer what your are looking for and you will have millions of results for you to read/review and decide what fits your needs and what doesnt.
Thanks for this!

Hi there wannachange

Have you looked at:

General Q&A - Forums at Psych Central

Not sure how useful that would be.

If you think that your feelings and emotions are impacting on your relationship and interaction with others you might want to browse around:

Relationships & Communication - Forums at Psych Central
Thanks for this!

Who are you angry at right now?
