I'm a little annoyed about the USA/mental health-centric questions on the registration form. I'm from the UK and I dont have great general knowledge so I was annoyed that I had to fill in the form 6 times before I got a question I actually knew the answer to. I didnt know the 2nd president of the USA, I don't know who founded pschowhateveritis but thankfully I do know Canada is north of the US

I'll chill a bit now, but I'm a little angry...

Yeah that's just a tad bit of a freaky questionnaire for someone to fill in who wasn't born and raised there .....

We are a USA-based site and founded by an American, so yup, the questions are going to be US-centric.

Google is a click away for the answers, so it's only real purpose is to stop spammers who don't spend time Googling for an answer because they have a daily quota to meet. (When we asked more general questions, like what color is the clear sky, they knew them too easily unfortunately.)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

First of all welcome saintfreddy! I had the same problem when I joined. Luckily at a certain point they asked me the colour of the snow Now I know that I'm not the only one
Unfortunately these questions are necessary, and probably it's difficult to find the 'right' ones to ask.
I have to admit that I too felt a bit uncomfortable for those US-centred questions, but when I stared interacting with people here I soon felt welcome...hope that the same happens for you

I don't remember the questions but I do remember the registration process was frustrating. I'm glad you got through it! Welcome to Psych Central, saintfreddy!

LOL, get used to it. When people ask what time it is here and it is 6 hours ahead of EST, they go WOW. Almost every time.

Like's already been mentioned, it's possible to just google for the answer. I do remember it being a pain trying to register.

Welcome I think John Hancock was the second president. John Adams was the 2nd elected president under the Constitution. Go deep into US history and you find that we had eight presidents before George Washington
I don't recall the registration form
