No religious talk whatsoever is allowed here in this specific forum, including but not limited to church, clergy, the Bible, etc. Thank you.
A post in the Sanctuary for Spiritual Support forum got me thinking about the quoted admonition. Praying is considered a religious practice. "Pray" and "prayer" are terms found in the Bible, along with actual prayers. To me, the breath of the quoted admonition prohibits talk about pray and prayer.

Obviously, my viewpoint is invalid since the practice is allowed. Without intending to question an administrative issue, I am curious about why?

We primarily are interested in avoiding any specific religious discussion that may give offense to other members, hence the restrictions about specific religious discussions in that forum. "Prayer" is pretty universal across most religions, and it is often used when a person wants to say you are in their thoughts.

This Sanctuary is a place for people of all spiritual beliefs and faiths to offer support and compassion to each other in the form of prayers, meditation, and expressions of spirituality. This forum is for support, not religious debate.
Thank you, DocJohn.

Based on the purpose of the forum, would I be within the guidelines to post a prayer in support of a member?

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
