The article with the question "Self-Conscious?" that's on the main psychcentral.com page right now has an accompanying photo of a naked woman holding a hat(?) in front of her crotch and hiding part of her breasts with her arms with a spotlight focused on her.
This photo bothers me, and I'm wondering if it bothers anyone else. The woman looks humiliated. I am female, middle-aged, and middle-of-the-road in sexual conservativeness. I have no history of sexual abuse. I figure if this photo makes me uncomfortable on a psych site, then it may bother some others, too. |

I agree. I believe there are other pics that could portray being self-conscious other than that pic.

I don't think it's inappropriate or that the model in the photo is being exploited. It just looks like a funny photo to me.
