Hello,

I really want to make use of the Amazon link script but I'm finding it not quite up to the job. The output is quite messy and the only alternative is the Anaconda script which is so expensive it negates the script's benefits!

Maxcomm seems to be virtually unsupported - so her I am. I am trying to learn perl instead of just install it. I thought this would be a good starting project but it's proving difficult. Is there anyone out there who can explain the component parts of the script to me or suggest ways of modifying it to improve its output?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Maybe we might even end up with a really good piece of open source at the end of it.

I look forward to any help...

Roland.

I'm not sure this is the best example of a perl script to cut your teeth on, because of its use of Rexgreps to accomplish its purposes. It is messy, but that's by need of its task -- content scraping. A messy process if there's no XML file to process.
