Hi. I'm quite new here and English is not my native language. Members of this forum use abbreviations all the time and I'd like to know what they mean. I know a few: T means therapist, H means husband. I've seen more, for example: DID, SH, SI. Is their a list of all abbreviations and their meanings? Or can we make a list in this thread?

I'm pretty sure that those abbreviations mean the following: dissociative identity disorder, self harm and suicidal ideation.

I thought SI meant self injury, but I might be wrong.

New members on this forum may find the acronyms we use here difficult to understand; so a thread with expansions would be almost as useful as a page for FAQ's (=Frequently Asked Questions; a common term on many Web sites).
