I'm running Openjournal on Windows 98 with Apache 1.3.26. I can create stories but the index.html never gets updated. If I delete the index.html file I get an error (permissions) If I copy the templates index file to index.html then it never gets updated. I have the TOUPPER line in the file. I've seen some other posts on this and not any good solutions. Thanks in Advance

I'd like to try and help but I've read your post a couple of times and I'm still not sure what is happening. However, I will say this much: 1) the default file extension for the script generated files is "htm", so if you've configured the config file to use "html", try changing it back to "htm"; 2) if you get an error msg when you try to delete the index.html file, you may need to re-examine all the permissions on your linux server. I couldn't get anything to work when I initially set some permissions to 777 and others to 755 but when I set all permissions to 755 everything worked fine.
