Not talking about PC although I have the feeling PC is the same in this matter. I belong and have belonged to several online communities where it is banned to link to another online community. I can understand that. But linking to FB is always fine. Why? It is just an online community as well. And it is the WORST culprit for emptying out communities like this one.

As far as I know we are just not allowed to link to another forum or try to get people to join another forum. Facebook isn't a forum, nor is it geared towards people with mental health issues looking for emotional support. I know there are a few groups on there but they are'nt anything like forums.

Facebook is a wider community than others and many communities also have a page on Facebook for their members to "rally" around. The linking goes to the Facebook page and some people hang out there rather than both pages. It depends on what the community offers and what they offer on Facebook and what an individual chooses. Facebook doesn't empty out the community, people choose to be there as it better suits their lifestyle and needs.
