I log in at my office so I don't/won't check the "remember me" button.

Nevertheless, it seems as though the site auto-logs-me-out every 30? 60? seconds. I don't know for sure how quickly - I just know that it happens REAL fast and will I will be required to log-in even when I already am but have clicked to a different page on the site.

Is that the way the site is supposed to work? If there's a way to stay logged-in longer, please share. I feel like I spend more time logging-in....again...and again...and again...than anything else here. lol

Thank you!
Thanks for this!

I'm technology illiterate ....

I did a quick google search and this poster got a detailed response; might help to have a quick look? I guess all circumstances are unique ... hopefully there's something that might be of use to you:

thanks! My computer accepts cookies so who knows? I work on computers with very high security and firewalls so maybe that's it?
Thanks for this!

I'm betting your firewall refreshes web pages often. Because you have it set to not remember you it's loging you out.

Do you ever read the site from home? I'm just curious if you log out at home and see how it goes. I bet you would stay logged in until you close the site.

Just in case I wasn't clear I agree with you that it's probably your work firewall/etc.
Thanks for this!

Yea if you select don't remember me the cookie expires quite quickly, if you leave the site momentarily and come back you will need to log in, or when you navigate around. A cookie is basically a little file that tells the website you are logged in to that specific website and for how long, usually they expire after a certain time or when cookies are cleared. When you select dont remember they are usually discarded right away or after navigating a bit.
