I just went into Edit Options to hide a particular social group forum from my view and noticed that it wasn't available for selection there, in that it doesn't seem to be listed. It's not a brand new one or anything; looks like it was created beginning of this year.

As neither list sorts alphabetically, I had to comb through the couple of screens worth of those showing in Edit Options to make sure I wasn't missing it, but: no dice. Not a huge deal or anything.. I'd just figured the lists would coincide more. I checked in Forums at Psych Central - FAQ/Help: User Profile Features but there wasn't any mention of this particular feature, or any limitations to what it covers.

I'm not sure you're doing it right. In my edit options for blocking subforums and groups the choices are all listed in a scrollable form field at the bottom of the first (and only, at least for me) page. There are 21 listed social forums.
I would ask which specific forum to see if it's listed on my list but I can understand how you might not want to do that

Well, it's only "car buffs" I wanted to take off the list, and not for any terrible reason. I like cars just fine, have loved every one I've ever owned, but am not much of an enthusiast. It's not triggering or anything (!) for me to see those posts, hence my saying it's not a big deal; I've just become accustomed to paring down the list to just those forums where I think I can potentially add to the conversation in a not unhelpful way.

There seem to be differences in both directions, some which can't be selected in edit options, and some listed in edit options which I don't see at all in the full list of actual forums.

Here's 2 screenshots of everything listed in Edit Options for me (temporarily deselected to make for easier reading):

Difference between "edit options" forum list and actual forum list

Not sure what I might be doing wrong, but stranger things have happened! Cheers, and thanks for your kind counsel.

I think that is a user created group that you ask to join or are invited to join. I think you have to request to leave or "unjoin" to get rid of notices.

This was a bug on our side. You should now be able to exclude any of the social group forums you would like... Sorry.

Many thanks for the update, DocJohn. I hope it was an easy fix!
