Pretty much what the title says. Sometimes, the posts have one icon and sometimes there are two. How come? And who puts them there?

I can explain that for you.
When you first make a thread, if you choose an icon that is the first icon you see. Then, if someone replies in that thread and chooses another icon, that would be the second one you are seeing. I think anyways. |

The trigger icon is a double indemnity that DocJohn has the server post for us I think. Another icon you will see, also placed by admin (though directly) is the Lock. I think another is the sticky thread?

The software puts them there to indicate a "special post." Special posts are:
- Threads with a poll in them[list] - Announcement threads (that are pinned to the top of a forum) [push pin] - Threads that have been self-identified by the poster as possibly triggering [red X] - Threads that have been moved [arrow] - Threads that are very popular (by either views or replies) [flame] I think that's all of them. All of these are done automatically by the forum software. DocJohn
