Hello,
Well, as my first foray into web design and online journals, I thought I would attempt to install Open Journal v2 on a Sambar web server running under Win2K. All seems to work fine except that I get a: error: Error opening the file d:/sambar5/wwwdir/oj/index.html () - Please check your permissions. message when the script tries to post the index.html file to the OJ directory. Now, just to demonstrate my complete ignorance. Do I need to 'set permissions' on the directory under win2k? and if so, how do I do it? Or have a sodded up a setting in oj.cfg? Many thanks in advance.. |

In Win2k, that directory needs to have write permission set for the Web server user. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how this is done unless it is your server...

Ok, well it is a good thing then that it is my server.
![]() Are you saying that the open journal user must have a corresponding account on the server AND Sambar with write permission to the webpage's dir? Shall give it a go.. Regards Barry.. |
