I have no idea if there is an option at all and perhaps not and I will deal with it if not but is there any way to get an ignore option implemented in the mobile app? Normally I'd rather just use the computer for chat but much of the time when I like ot be in the chat rooms I can't get on a computer to do so, and I'm unable to "self care" using ignore. I know I can leave if I have to but I'd like to be able to have that option in mobile chat so I can use it freely too.

Just a thought. I know it may not be in your control but it could be a nice feature if possible to add.

Thanks

Here is what DocJohn had to say about the ignore feature on mobile apps such as Tapatalk:

Quote:
The problem reported here and by other users is because "Don't allow ignore users to post any of my threads" isn't a core part of the version of the forum software we're using, but rather an add-on.

As such, one of the services we allow to make it easier for those on mobile devices (such as smartphones) to access our forums -- Tapatalk -- doesn't support this add-on. Tapatalk doesn't have a lot of the features that our desktop version of the forum has (such as the ability to give hugs to other members), but it was decided when we added it that it was a fair trade-off. We'd rather have more people be able to easily access our forums from any device -- sans a few features -- than to have them not.

So the feature of not allowing people on your Ignore list to post to your threads should be considered to be only part-functional at this time. It'll work much of the time as intended, but not for members who access the forums via Tapatalk to post. They'll be able to get around the restriction.

We're looking at ways of fixing this long-term, but all of them are very involved and aren't likely to be implemented any time soon. I know this isn't an ideal situation, and we're very sorry for it. But I did want to let you know what was happening and why it was happening.

Best,
DocJohn

Ahh but the ignore function I'm referring to is in the flash chat app not really meaning ignore on the forums. Flash chat has the ability to ignore in the chat room which is understandably one of the best ways for self care outside of leaving chat completely when in a browser but unfortunately when chatting on a mobile phone there is no ability to ignore users in the room.

Thanks for the reply but hopefully this makes a more clear distinction as to what function I am referring to.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
