It would be very helpful if there was a link to my blog within my control panel or something. Right now, I just click the link in my signature to get to my blog. Is this a function that is available right now, or can be implemented in the future?

Your profile section does have a place for a blog link as well, so maybe you could put it there?
Otherwise, I would just suggesting your browser's built in bookmarking/favoriting ability.
