If someone reports you, do you get notified?

In my own personal experience I'm only given a nudge on the shoulder if I've broken the guidelines.

Someone PMed me telling me I'd been reported. I think there's a thread in this forum about me, but I'm not going to waste my time on it.

If you did something against the rules, you'll get a PM from a moderator.

Just because someone doesn't like what you post isn't a violation so don't worry about it.

So they definately let you know when someone's doing it? Pretty sure I'm being erroneously reported.

They started a thread about you and that's allowed? I've never seen your thread but come to think of it I've seen it happen to others on this board and it was not only allowed but celebrated. It's just sick!

The person who PMed me didn't like the person who was trying to stir up trouble against me which is why they let me know I'd been reported. This person had been on another forum with the person who reported me and indicated the person was trouble there too. I haven't seen the person around for a couple days...

Yeah Lucy, I worried you were one of them and it seems you are a victim like me. Did they tell you what was reported so you can at least defend yourself against the accusations?

It only seems fair to at least give me the opportunity to state my case. Present the facts. I know life isn't always fair but show a little mercy!

If you haven't gotten a PM from a moderator, there's no problem. I haven't heard anything as what can they say? I stated my opinion, and stood up for myself over something. This isn't kindergarten....at least I don't think it is.

My philosophy with that thread about me is that I don't need the stress and drama. If people don't like me, oh well. I'll never meet them, talk to them or anything so I just try to not let it upset me.

Try not to worry about being reported. Anyone can report anyone for anything, and I'm sure most of the stuff is ignored as it's so petty.

I think you are right. Can't let them win. Yes, I stated my opinions and that didn't go over well. I was rejected systematically in some effort to isolate me. Telling me the sky is down and floor is up and expecting me to go along. Why do they do this? Nobody can know this answer so it's pointless but I sure wish I could figure that part out. What makes a person like that tick? Do they eat bullets and drano for lunch?

I don't report people ....retaliation is real. I have thought about it but stated my case instead. Seemed more honorable. I fear they will force my hand this time. I need to think this through. It feels wrong either way.

If a post was reported for violating the Community Guidelines a Moderator will PM the member and let them know that a guideline has been broken. If a post is reported but doesn't violate the Community Guidelines no one is PMed.

I am going to close this thread. If anyone has any further questions about this topic please feel free to send me a PM and I would be happy to discuss it.

We do not allow posts that discuss other members. That is totally against the guidelines. If you see a post like that please click the report icon in the bottom left of the post and let us know. There are so many posts in the forum that sometimes that's the only way we know about an issue.

Thank you,

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
