I just got my new Samsung Galaxy A5. I am very happy with it - it is easy to use and picture quality is great. I downloaded my usual apps, stuff I had on my last phone etc. And then I started getting these pop-up ads. Not whilst I'm on the web, but any time. Pop-up ads for Netflix, Uber, some church, a tiling company and even a computer game. I have to click "no" to get rid of it. So - I went through all the apps, uninstalled those I don't really need and spent hours and hours researching how to block pop-ups. I have unchecked, blocked and uninstalled every possible thing. I've run a malware and a virus check. All that is left for me to do is factory re-set the phone, and i don't want to do that.

Any ideas where else I can go to block / stop the pop-ups?

you might not be able to get rid of them. some apps are able to be offered for free because they are funded by the companies that buy ad \pop up spots. its kind of like psych central is free because of the ads on the site have been paid for by the people who want to put their ad on psych central.

the only thing I can suggest is contacting the dealer you got your cell phone through, they will know what you need to do to make it so you dont get pop ups if it is possible to have the apps you want for pop up/ ad free.
Thanks for this!
