Just wondering, I tried to go to the arcade and it said I couldn't, last time I was here I tried to go to a support group, said I could not, not all people's want to sit and chat. We are told what we have to do and restricted from doing the fun things. Guess
I just don't get all the control!

I see you only have three posts (at the moment that I am writing this reply) if I remember right there are some restrictions until a person has posted 5 posts. this is not a strike against someone personally. its how the site is set up to weed out spammers.

suggestion just take it one step at a time and wait it out until after your post count (under your user name) goes up to 5. then give it another try for those restricted access boards.
Thanks for this!

Hello cherishme22: I don't know if I know the answer to your question. I see you have 3 posts to your credit so far. One thing I do know is that before one can enter the chat rooms one must have had 5 posts reviewed & approved. It may be the same with the Arcade.

As for the social groups, if that's what you're referring to as "support groups", many of them are for members only. So in order to participate in a particular social group, you have to join it. Here again, you may need to have 5 posts reviewed & approved before you can do that... I don't know. I never go to the Arcade, I don't chat, & I don't belong to any social groups.

As far as the control goes, I'm not in a position to offer an authoritative opinion. But I believe the answer would be that there are many vulnerable members here & PsychCentral strives to make this as safe a place as possible for us. It's a good thing.
Thanks for this!

In order to increase your number of posts to gain access to the arcade and games area why don't you visit the general chat thread? The questions are sometimes fun and intriguing. There are even questions about pets, tv and life in general. You are more than welcome on this site. Just a couple more posts and breath.
Thanks for this!

I'm with the above posters on this. It's all for a purpose. Member safety and a supportive environment are top priorities to the Community Support Team.
