I'm wondering what the possibility for the chat room to be changed to a different client is.
123 Flash Chat is starting to feel a little obsolete and it's difficult to use on mobile devices, which isn't great as I like to chat on PC while I'm out and about. Even the Android and Apple Apps don't work on modern versions of those systems, heck it has trouble on windows 10, and after some quick googling there seem to be some better options. I understand it might be a pain to transfer accounts over to a new client but 123 Flash Chat isn't going to be around forever and PC chat is one of the only places I go to vent or talk with friends. I don't want to lose that to Flash Chat suddenly ceasing to be. I think there are some good options for mobile and laptop/desktop users that will make PC chat more available and user friendly. I agree. I personally use mobile and its hard sometimes going to other windows on my phone and looking at stuff.

I think we should use Slack. so many more features and it has a mobile app that works. we already have people's email's from when they registered.

The trouble isn't moving to a new chat system. The problem is every system will have things that are different about it, missing features that people use and enjoy, and formatted in a way that is going to be different (and make some people upset). We will eventually do so, because Flashchat 123 folks went out of business more than a year ago.
It likely won't be Slack as it doesn't integrate well with online communities and it requires a download in order for it to work (on your laptop, mobile device, etc.). It also would be prohibitively expensive for us to use anything other than the free version (which limits features and functionality). Stay tuned, we'll likely be choosing something new over the summertime. DocJohn

You might consider Cbox Pro -- https://www.cbox.ws/products -- if it is not already known to you.

we are talking in chat it does sound like slack chat , slack.com is a viable option to 123 flashchat at this point. Have we looked into that . it supports enough ppl and has mobile options as well as moderated chats. please look into it before chat as it is crashes. We have lots of worried customers in here.
thanks Moreta has used this slack chat thru her husbands job over the summer with good results. tam

That cbox thing looks hideous. I am not sure slack is the answer, but you could integrate ads to help pay for the cost of a decent program.

Cbox looks boring to me from what I saw. You do have to consider the way the chat looks because that's what draws people to it. -My $0.02

eStream chat seems viable. It looks like it's pretty similar to 123, as far as appearance goes.

What you see there is only a generic demo showing its functions...

Think we are talking about the opposite client. One is set up like that. The other is not.

Understood, but a developer would see that much differently. Some chat services show razzle-dazzle flash having little to do with actual function, but then cBox can actually *do* things some of the others cannot.
