May I suggest that when a thread is deleted, that the admin who deleted the thread actually contact the person who started the thread? I'm pretty sure that's the protocol but it hasn't been happening lately.

not sure if Im remembering right but I think I saw somewhere that deleted posts and threads dont always get a notice but any time I want to know why my (or any other) posts or threads have been removed I know I can pm a moderator listed with the board the post or thread appeared in and then they will tell me if its been deleted or just moved and why.

maybe you can check in the forum where you notice the thread you are looking for was located. at the bottom of that forum to the right is a list of what moderators work that board. pm one and maybe they can help you figure out whats going on.

The OP is nearly always contacted. When this doesn't happen, the OP should contact an admin to ask what happened to their thread, as the lack of contact wasn't intentional but an accidental oversight.

The answer to why an entire thread was removed is nearly always the same -- it violated our community guidelines (usually because of back-and-forth contentious posting between a set of members). We try not to remove threads but fix them through pruning, but that isn't always possible if it would require more than the removal of a few posts in the thread.

We do not remove threads for no reason or capriciously.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
