How to post a picture in posts?

But this icon asks for a link. Do I need to upload the image somewhere first and then use the link from where I uploaded it?

there is a section in this very forum, called " Community Feedback & Technical Support > Tutorials & How-To's". unfortunately, it's been so long since anyone posted in it, that you have to use the Search function to find anything, or expand your timeline (at the bottom of the page).

Thanks. If I upload a picture in an album here on PC, can I make the album private such that no one sees it or it will be public?

you can make your album private, but be advised, if you take a picture out of the album it goes blank where ever you posted it.

go to Customize Profile > and on the left you will see a long menu--
a couple of blocks down you will find Albums> use that to make your albums private, or available only to "Friends", etc.
