this is a thread!

you don't need any number of posts to make a thread.

you may not have seen your previous posts because they are moderated (only the first few), and it's for all new members, not just you

welcome to the forum

Like Shattered Sanity said, your initial posts are moderated before being published.

From the New Member Introductions forum sticky note at the top:

Welcome!

You've found a safe, secure, and reliable support community for people battling a range of mental health issues related life issues. We have thousands of fellow members here who will be glad to lend an ear, offer information, and provide support for when you need it.

If you've just recently joined our community here, please take a moment to introduce yourself to everyone with a brief note about who you are (as much as you feel comfortable sharing) and why you've come to join us.

TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST POST!

  • Click on the NEW THREAD button to start a new post here in this forum introducing yourself.
  • Choose a descriptive title for your introduction. "New here" is redundant -- everyone posting to this forum is new here!
  • Tell us a little bit about yourself, but please keep personally identifiable information out of it (to ensure your privacy)
  • Be aware your post will not show up immediately. We moderate all new members to ensure our community is spam-free. Posts will generally show up within a few hours once reviewed by one of our moderators. Please be patient.
  • After your first post here, consider making followup posts in the forum that best addresses your concern (e.g., Depression, Anxiety, etc.)

Welcome and thank you for joining us!

Hi, My name is Amanda and I want to Welcome you to the Forum at Psych Central.

I have only been at Psych Central for a short time, but I have found that this place is an excellent resource for help and healing. The people here truly have a desire to help you work through whatever needs you are facing.

We are peer support group and we can offer help in many areas. Are you Bi-Polar go to the Bi-polar section https://forums.psychcentral.com/bipolar/ are you a person who Self-Harms go to https://forums.psychcentral.com/self-injury/ Do you have PTSD then go here https://forums.psychcentral.com/post-traumatic-stress/ and if you have Anxiety or Panic attacks go here https://forums.psychcentral.com/anxiety-panic-phobias/ There are places here for virtually every need and every problem.

Maybe you need to talk to someone. We can help you there too. There are chat rooms you can access after your first 5 posts. Remember your first 5 posts will need to be approved by a Moderator before they can be seen by the membership. But after that, you can join the chat room and speak to other members in real-time. There are also special events chats. One of them is lead by DocJohn and is very popular, If you want to talk with someone privately you will also have that option.

To date, there are over 426,000+ members, 456,000+ threads and over 5,548,000+ posts. The Forums at Psych Central have a long history of being here for people in need.

If you should have any questions or needs feel free to contact me. I would be more than willing to point you in the right direction. If you want to PM me just click on my name to the left and then click on Send a Private Message. I am also willing to join you in a Private Chat if that would help you.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
