i know a few members with schizophrenia (me included) who would like the idea of having a chat for members who have psychosis
so far, no one has offered to host it i am willing to host a schizophrenia chat once a week which would probably be the only time i use chat, but whatever anyway how does someone get to host a specific chat ? we had a few schizophrenia chats in the past, but none that were for psychosis as a whole i think it would be very helpful and nice place in chat where people who have psychosis can come together and talk about it and not be shamed or judged |

Hi Kori,
Great that you would like to host a schizophrenia chat! As you probably already know all community guidelines apply to the chat rooms and forums. I will PM you regarding the specifics of starting up a new scheduled chat. Thanks! John

thanks john
i do have a question though, it's probably a stupid question but i just want to make sure can we talk about "delusions" and "hallucinations" in a chat for psychosis? i know the rules are for coffeehouse you cant talk about mental health at all, so does that apply to all of the hosted chats or is that just for coffeehouse? |

Kori,
Delusions and hallucinations are definitely appropriate topics for scheduled Schizophrenia Chat.

thanks John and kori for that. It would be nice to have a chat where we can talk about delusions and hallucinations. This is one of the better ideas for a chat room that i have been approached about. YAY for growth.

I agree. I have psychosis as part of my depression and stress causes me to have dissociative episodes. I would love to have a chat to discuss this and support others with their psychotic features....lolz, psychotic features...never thought I'd say that about myself.
