The message (posting) editor, has changed this morning. Nothing serious, but the background is now grey instead of white, and more importantly the text has become annoyingly large by default in the edit box (I don't wanna scroll all the time
![]() ![]() It's not a big deal, but maybe someone can look into it. I don't see anything untoward in my options page. I'll just work around it for now by setting a different font while composing then using the "Remove Text Formatting" button in the top left corner. ... Or I could learn to be more concise and not blather on so much. ![]() |

Am I the only one who is seeing this?
Forgive me if I'm being obtuse and missing some setting somewhere. The font size in the message editor is much larger than the forum messages themselves. I can't find a permanent setting for just the editor. (I'm using Firefox on Linux, so maybe it's some corner case....) |

I'm using the editor from my phone's browser. I'm not seeing a change from this perspective.
I think it was around Thanksgiving that there was a system update, but I'm not big into tech, so I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, I only know that pointing out little details has benefitted me when dealing with the IT staff in my own current and previous workplace(s). Hopefully one of the board's techs has a chance to answer. It's easy enough sometimes to overlook questions when the reply box is no longer at zero, for future reference, not that the 21st was yesterday. I don't typically come into this forum, but your title caught my eye, as I had a buggy moment, myself, that I needed to click the report button on my own post and that went off to the mods and admins. Wish I could of answered your question. |

I don't see any change in the reply box either. Maybe changing your browser might help?

Firefox recently had a major overhaul that may have caused some issues. I had some display issues on my firefox at work, but not at home (I think my work version is newer). Not sure it's related at all. Just throwing that out there as a possibility.

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache and cookies to see if that resolves the problem?

Thank you everyone.
It happened with the server upgrade. Which is odd, because that wasn't supposed to involve any software updates. Also, there weren't any software updates on my machine for several days on either side. Unfortunately, clearing the cookies and cache didn't do anything either. Switching browsers is not a workable option for me. I suppose I'll just have to live with it. I'm guessing it's some subtle interaction between the HTML/javascript/style-sheet that's being sent out by PC and the rendering engine in Firefox under Linux. I can get the regular sized text on a white background back if I switch the editor mode, but I lose the full WYSIWYG functionality. I guess that's better than the alternative as long as I use "Preview Post" all the time. |
