This happened to me. I was logging into the forums and every time I tried to log in it reloaded the page as a guest. When I selected the "remember me" box, it redirected me back to the forums as a member that time.

I'm having the same issues as well. It says "you must register or login to use chat" I've tried checking off the remember me box but to no avail. Needless to say I'm annoyed. It also seems I can't log out either. Seriously, what's up with this site? Issue after issue.

What's up with this site? This site just underwent two server upgrades and a major software update. We posted about it on the forums over the past month as we've been rolling out these updates and upgrades.

So yeah, there are going to be some bugs. I don't think people realize, there's not a staff of 20 people here working on the technical stuff behind the scenes. It's literally me and another person (who is part-time) who handle all the technical and infrastructure stuff. It's not to say you're not in brilliant hands -- because you are! -- but just that we would appreciate a modicum of patience while we do these kinds of things.

I *know* how annoying it can be to suffer from a technical issue, since I think we've all been on the receiving end of them in our technology-driven world.

For people still experiencing issues with logging into chat, have you tried (a) clearing your cookies and cache in your web browser and/or (b) tried a different browser and still experiencing the same issue? The reason I ask is because we thought we successfully tested and resolved this bug earlier today, so am surprised some folks are still having problems. We need as much information as you can provide to help resolve this issue...

Thanks,
DocJohn

To those of you having trouble, try clearing your cookies, a different browser, and also checking the box that says "remember me" when you log in to the forums.
