Please help. I cannot figure out how to block a member on here. I know I know.. it's probably pretty simple, but I don't see where or how to do this. Thank you!

you click on their name
click on their profiles option called user lists
then click on add user to ignore list.

this will make it so that you can not see their posts but does not prevent them from posting in any threads that you have also posted in by other people

this also does not prevent them from discussing what ever issue you have started a thread on and because you have them on ignore they cant post in....your... thread. they are able to make their own thread on the same issue which allows them to give their opinions and issues on the same problem that they can not post about in your thread.

in other words its to protect .....you..... from seeing their posts but does not prevent them from having full use of the site, and is not meant to be used as a punishment against other members.

this will also affect your pm's though they will be able to pm you, you will not see that pm.

they will know you have them on your ignore list. when someone tries to reply to someone who has them on ignore, they get a notice saying ... you can not reply to this thread, this user has you on their ignore list. sometimes if a member on your ignore list tries to pm you they also will know you have them on your ignore list because they may get a notice saying they can not message you because you have them on ignore.

the ignore feature only works if you are logged in. if you are not logged in you will continue to see triggering posts by the person who triggers you.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
