Someone brought up a an idea recently for an Atheists/Agnostics group.
If I'm posting in the wrong section then, my apologies.

So are there any former Christians here who have turned their backs on this belief who would like to have a group to discuss this subject in? If anyone is interested then, please say something.

I made that most. I'd be interested in this because I was raised Christian but have since turned my back on that. My dad has also stepped away from that faith.

It honestly makes me happy to see people cast off the shackles of religion and think with their own minds.

I understand. I feel like I wasted more than half of my life trying to be something that I can never be.
I don't really believe that anyone can especially those with a seemingly endless supply of terrible memories and intense mental illness.

I suppose I would. While I am not Atheist I most definitely am not Christian - despite being a preacher's kid - nor any other mainstream religion for that matter. I would be interested to see where such discussion goes.

I am not sure what the OP intended, but I interpreted their first post as a potential group for ex-Christians, without an additional spiritual angle. Maybe a place to share our past stories and talk about how organized religion affected us in a negative way, but not with an added spiritual twist.

For that reason I won't be joining that particular group. I am non-religious and non-spiritual.
Thanks for this!

My social group is for everyone, atheist and agnostic, to those who have a spiritual path.

The idea that I proposed was for former Christians who may or may not be spiritual still who for reasons of their own have either turned their backs on the church, God or Christianity as a whole.
Thanks for this!

I would l-o-v-e an agnostic/atheist group/subsection.

I tried to find a group but it was a club, or something, and hadn’t seen much recent use.

PM me if you get something going —

I would advocate for a sub-forum in the Spirituality forum, maybe?

With Christianity being so prevalent in the states, that’s the biggest slice of pie, but there are some folks who were never involved in any religion that should be welcomed, I think.

I’m on the fence on the may be or may not be spiritual, though. It has that ‘spirit’ taste! I’ve never heard a good ‘I’m an atheist but in touch with my spiritual side’ explanation.
