I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but I thought I read that folks who have many people on ignore aren't supposed to start threads. I understand if people use the ignore function to feel safe, but is there the potential (in an isolated case) a person might use the ignore function to use threads as a "bully pulpit?" I'm not questioning the rules...I'm just seeking clarification. Thanks.
Thanks for this!

If you have people on ignore you can't start community threads like check ins. You can still create threads about yourself and asking for support. The point of having people on ignore is so they cannot comment on your personal threads if they are triggering to you, make you feel unsafe or are bullying or harassing you. Why would people be precluded from creating any threads at all because they have someone on ignore? It's just a specific type of thread that they cannot create, not any thread at all.

That clarifies it, seesaw. Thanks. I wasn't aware of the different classifications of threads. I was just going on what I remembered & had good reason to ask the question.
Thanks for this!

Sure. Although I do understand what you allude to with threads being used passive aggressively for bullying, but it's next to impossible to prove.

Definitely impossible to prove, but it sure is used that way too frequently.

There are threads that are titled "Check In Threads" in different forums. Members literally "check in" every day on how they are doing.
