Is it against the community guidelines to keep insisting that another member has a certain diagnosis, even though this member keeps trying to tell them it's not at all what their diagnosis is?

You see, I had that happen to me in the past many times, and thought it was very unhelpful, unsupportive and downright rude. Is this a behavior I can validly report about if it comes up ever again?

I'm not sure what thread you mean, but my understanding is politely querying someone's diagnosis wouldn't be against the rules but if they're actually attacking you about your diagnosises (sp) then my understanding is it is reportable. I could be wrong though because I'm not a mod here, maybe I should have held off posting this until a mod saw it, idk.

It's not so much politely asking rather it's overly insisting I have it. Like they think they have a PhD in psychiatry or something.

As for threads, it's been a few months since it was brought up, but it somehow is becoming a recurrent thing and I guess I've had enough of it by now.

I believe that a thread of this nature is also against the community guidelines. It would have been a better approach to alert a MOD, with a private message, instead of posting it here.

Artchic, I suggest you report such a post to the moderators to see what they think.

Actually, there is another thread on exactly the same subject on here too. It's not against the communuty guidelines too, is it? The Mods allowed that thread to remain, why not this one?

As has been suggested here, and in other threads, PM a moderator directly. Thanks....

What other threads? I don't recall seeing it suggested in any other thread of mine? Then again, I could very well mistaken.

I want to know if it's a type of thing I CAN report about in the first place. Sometimes it's good to know beforehand, ya know?

Is it just me or is there a curt vibe in all my threads recently?

It's okay to PM them if you're not sure about something. That's certainly not against guidelines! Just let them know that this person/post is giving you a hard time and you want it stopped. (I used to be a mod, so I think I know what I am talking about. )

I'm confused now, how is querying whether something breaks rules before it even happens against the rules? idk if I'm missing something here
Thanks for this!

It's happened in the past, but not recently, and I'm not breaking any guidelines by asking if I can report about it if it happens again.

So, yeah, I'm confused on why they are posting this way too.

Take this to a mod, in a private message. Posts like this is threatening the peace of the community.

How so? I see them all the time and the mods seem fine with them.

I feel you're being more passive aggressive than is needed here. Not that passive aggression is ever needed.

Thank you so much. THIS is the sort of definitive answer I was kind of wanting.
