I started a new thread yesterday (about 24 hours ago) as my first post but it never appeared. The replies to other threads I wrote after that appeared straight away but the first one is still not there. Is there a way of finding out if it's still somewhere waiting for approval or whether it might have just timed out and disappeared. Didn't want to post the same thing again in case it then suddenly appeared and I would have posted two identical posts.

They have to approve everyone's first 5 posts, I think the posts are kept somewhere while the moderators have time to go through them all, if this helps?

I had understood that bit but just wondered why the number 2-5 posts appeared before the first one. I suspect it timed out but wondered if they go to different moderators or something and the first one is still waiting somewhere.

I think they go to different moderators but I could be wrong about this. Not sure if each moderator has their own section to look after.

each forum board has their own list of which moderators work which board. if you can remember where you posted your thread that are waiting approval, you can pm the mods working that board to ask them any questions about why your thread has not showed up yet... also just a bit of information since I see you are in a country outside the USA.... right now america is in a national holiday called the 4th of july weekend/week my point the mods in the USA may not be online much the next few days as its a holiday where people spend with their families and celebrate america's independence day with lots of picnics, fireworks, parades, parties.... I know its frustrating at times waiting for a thread to go through moderation but you kind of hit a holiday here so they may not be on much. |

Your information about finding the mod for each board is good. Do bear in mind, however, that some of our mods are not in the States. |

Stormyisland, is this still an issue for you? As of this moment, I don't see any posts of yours in moderation.

step one you clicked into community feedback and technical support forum
that brought you to a page with a whole list of threads in this forum go to the bottom of the list of threads. go just a bit lower you will see display options current active users moderators 4 just read these across until you reach the word moderators 4, under that it says the 4 moderators that work this forum.... Fooze, Lavender Bluekoi, CANDC every forum has this set up where there is a list of moderators that work that specific forum board. just follow the threads down to the last one then read underneath and across the page where it says display options, current active users and moderators. |
