This doesn't really belong anywhere, but it is affecting my emotions somewhat lately.

I've noticed the activity goes up and down on this entire board, but for maybe the last few months I see significantly lower numbers of active members and it feels lonely. Anyone else feel this way/notice this?

I haven't noticed, personally but I think it's normal to have some periods where users will be less active... probably many members are just busy

I've noticed a decline, too. Time of year, maybe?

I've noticed that a few members post a lot. But it seems like a limited pool of contributers. I'm not seeing as many new threads starting.

I agree with this.

so many new people join on a daily bases- so, so many

but how many of the new ones post

most of the new ones I have seen post, arn't actually new at all.. they were just here before under another name

here in america we have entered the fall season events like "back to school" where children, teens and adults start back into their elementary, jr high, high school and college classes and school activities. This also is the beginning of our "holiday season" of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Veterans Day, New Years and holiday's too that come with plans and events like parties, parades, trick or treating, caroling ..... and shutting down of the online life and spending it with the off computer family and friends.

I’m still kinda new here and still trying to get to know the place a bit. I’ve never started an actual thread (well except for in member introduction when I signed up). I have answered a few threads. I do however read a lot here though on all the forums and I find probably more than 1/2 the time-I have nothing helpful to add. It seems like threads get many more “views” than actual responses so I do think there are always a lot of people here, but just maybe lurking or what not.

I think it may be that it was summer and beginning of autumn when people spend more time outside. I assume when the more dark and depressing part of the year comes there will be more posts.

I have felt this sometimes lately... as someone else said, there are so many new members who only post once or twice. Or not at all. Although I don’t think that is new really. Hopefully they get the information they are looking for from reading. Fortunately pc is so much more than just a place to ask questions from nameless people and maybe find some tips to deal with issues etc

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
