Hi members,
Today I'm pleased to announce a collaboration with the discord chat community called The Haven. You can learn more about them and/or join their community here: The Haven Discord This is simply a different way to chat in real-time with others who are grappling with recovery and mental health concerns. Our chat system is not going away. Instead, we encourage you to check out and try their chat system on discord and feel free to use it as an adjunct or instead of our chat. Some people prefer discord, and we didn't want to reinvent the wheel since The Haven already exists. The Haven's rules are a little different than our community guidelines, so make sure you review them at #rules when you're connected, and follow the instructions for becoming verified. If you're not familiar with discord chat, you may feel a bit overwhelmed at first. It's not for everyone. But if you are familiar with it, you may prefer that as a way of chatting with others. As a part of this collaboration, we've setup a new forum for The Haven users. My Support Forums is the online community that was originally begun as the Psych Central Forums in 2001. It now runs as an independent self-help support group community for mental health, personality, and psychological issues and is overseen by a group of dedicated, caring volunteers from around the world.
