Hi members,
Today I'm pleased to announce a collaboration with the discord chat community called The Haven. You can learn more about them and/or join their community here: The Haven Discord This is simply a different way to chat in real-time with others who are grappling with recovery and mental health concerns. Our chat system is not going away. Instead, we encourage you to check out and try their chat system on discord and feel free to use it as an adjunct or instead of our chat. Some people prefer discord, and we didn't want to reinvent the wheel since The Haven already exists. The Haven's rules are a little different than our community guidelines, so make sure you review them at #rules when you're connected, and follow the instructions for becoming verified. If you're not familiar with discord chat, you may feel a bit overwhelmed at first. It's not for everyone. But if you are familiar with it, you may prefer that as a way of chatting with others. As a part of this collaboration, we've setup a new forum for The Haven users. Unfortunately my operating system (Chrome) doesn't work in conjunction with the site ...

I use Chrome and it absolutely works with the the Discord Chat. What happens when you try?

i tried to log on discord and the haven but my computer won't allow it either. take that back i have discord on my computer but i put in the haven and nothing happens. i have talked to a couple of friends on discord,any tips on getting on the site, i did try to reload it. thanks, tams

You made need to allow popups on the Discord site.

You can also manually add the server once you download the app or open discord by itself:

It's a bit overwhelming at first but once I got rid of the black background on The Haven I can look at the screen and start to figure out how to use it.

My Support Forums is the online community that was originally begun as the Psych Central Forums in 2001. It now runs as an independent self-help support group community for mental health, personality, and psychological issues and is overseen by a group of dedicated, caring volunteers from around the world.
