I feel that the chronic pain forum should be a subforum of health support (like the one above the disability forum), I don't know it's proper title- pretty sure it's called health support.

I say this because things like Fibromyalgia are deffenetly health issues

what are everyone's thoughts

I've definitely visited the chronic pain forum, but I cannot recall how it's set up. I'll visit the health forums again and get back to this thread.

I looked and see what you mean, I think? I'm curious that Fibro isn't under Chronic Illness? But get how it is, indeed, part of Chronic Pain.
I'll be curious to see what's said.

Maybe as Fibromyalgia is considered a symptom of underlying Illness in many circles...just a thought. Similarly to how Thyroid Disease is now more widely considered a result of underlying auto immune disease. Lots and lots of groundbreaking information coming out and circulating on these issues right now.....and about time too, as diagnostic criteria has not been updated for almost 60 years.

Well, I think I'm okay with Chronic Pain being where it is. I can understand, though, how it could also be categorized under Health Issues. Tough call.
Thanks for this!

not exactly.. I mean that chronic pain illnesses like fibro, I think, should be a sub forum of the general health one

I was curious why it isn't under chronic illness like MS is was what I noticed when I looked. That was explained however.

I'll let the powers that be explain why it's set up the way that it is.

I am in favor of the Chronic Pain Forum staying as it is, as many people already have difficulty finding it and it's not a sub-forum of another forum.

Just my own very humble opinion.

As a frequent poster in the fibro check in sub-forum, please don't move it. We are used to where it is. If you are considering moving it, how about asking the folks who post there if they want it moved?

edited to add....

I'm confused. Chronic pain is already on the health support board. How could it be moved to where it already is????

I was trying to say that it might be better under health support

you know as a sub forum along with exercise and diet

but it's just my thoughts

after all it is relating to physical health

People have trouble finding it w/o burying it further.

I agree w/Liz. It should stay where it is. I am also a poster on the Chronic Pain Forum. Nobody has asked the posters on that forum for their feedback.
