Is there a way to set a default font family and size to all my posts?

I know you can change your default view so that all posts appear a certain font, size and color when you view the forums. That is under My Profile. You go to edit options and it's toward the bottom. But as for a default for posts you make I don't think so. At least I've never figured out how to. I've always had to go into advanced and set my font, size and color myself for each post I make.

To piggy back is there a way to change a font permantly for responses or do you have to do that manually each time?

@sarahsweets Is there a difference? Changing the font for responses requires too much work for the results intended. Not sure if there is or there isn't, but I see your point

I'm like 99.9% sure that you just have to do it every time. I've used this site for years and have never found an option to change my response/thread font. I've always had to just do it post by post.

Yes, I think this is the case. It's not a big deal. Changing font type and size take just two clicks. I am not sure if changing the forums font type and size would change the font type and size for the posts. I didn't find the font I like, so I didn't try this.

Let's see how this works. There's a new option under Edit Options, Miscellaneous Options:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/prof...do=editoptions

to allow you to set your posting default font type, size, and color.

@DocJohn Thanks a lot. It works perfectly. I wrote this reply from the quick reply box where there is no font type/size option

EDIT: I am not sure the mention worked, though, because the name is not clickable in my post!

EDIT2: when I try the advanced option to write a post, I see the writing in the font type/size I chose, but when I preview it, it appears in the forums defaults!!

EDIT3: OK, but when I post it, it appears as in the chosen font type/size. So, the preview doesn't reflect the actual appearance before posting. After posting it and trying to edit, the preview works fine.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
