I'm having trouble logging in today, but finally did. I would like to use chat. But there is a sign like the trigger icon, and when you hover over it, it says "you must login or register to use chat." I'm wondering if my account got suspended or if this is just a bug. Please help!

I wasn't asked to log in this morning but also have the "you must register or login to use chat" yellow icon in the lower right hand corner, so I also cannot use chat.

On mobile I could use chat but on my laptop I can't. I guess there must be some kind of issue with my computer.

I think there is an issue with the site. I am also getting the "You must login or register to use chat" message. But I am logged in.

You will need to clear all of your cookies for the domain psychcentral.com.

Once you do this, you will be able to log into chat again.

In Firefox, this is under Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies & Data > Manage Data then do a search for psychcentral.com > Choose psychcentral.com and "Remove selected"

In Chrome, this is under Settings > Advanced > Privacy & Security > Content Settings > Cookies > See all cookies and site data > then do a search for psychcentral.com > Click on the trash icon next to any psychcentral.com entry

For other browsers, Google for "Delete specific cookies" and the name of your browser.

Once you remove all psychcentral.com cookies, it's likely you will need to log back into the forums. If you haven't logged out in a long time, you may not remember your password. So please make sure your email address is up-to-date in your profile in case you need to reset it.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I followed the instructions that DocJohn gave for chrome and it worked. You will know that it worked because when you reload the forums page you will be logged out and have to log back in again. My chat is now working.
