Iv'e seen DocJohn open to suggestions before so I thought it would be cool to post a thread were people can share site ideas that perhaps, could even be implemented? (I think ive seen this happen before once, but not sure)

a handy little option in the profile to turn off mentions and tagging
(big thumbs up for that one) I've also been a big supporter for a long time of new members getting a sort of buddy when they join up (so someone who's been around a long time) to show them around the forum. this is helped me in the past on other sites, and also new members might be put off by the size of the site |

having social group forums hidden if you're not actually a member of the social group
currently, the site shows them- but if you click on them, it tells you to join the group before posting. I'm suggesting stop it showing the forums, just the groups |

a forum simply called adult lounge
we have teens, we have seniors, what happened to the people in the middle I guess I'm being a little picky because we do have the men/ women's chat, what I'm saying no one forum where us younger adults can post together |

I understand that the mood tracker had to go. I really miss it. I wonder if there's a way to replace it with something?

Could the "Forums Index" title be as large as the subordinate titles please?????!!!!! My eyesight isn't good for the small un-bolded font and I keep losing sight of it.
Also please could it still be displayed at the top, when you are looking at messages within a thread, so that you can easily click back on it????? T'would be super useful and more logical if it was at least the same size and bolded like the titles underneath it. THANK YOU. __________________ *"Fierce <-> Reality"* oh god I am struggling today, help me to remember how to stay connected and human! remember: the nut shell against human predators and my own fear! |

I really wish that duplicate posts were not "allowed"and if it does happen then they get merged. I realize that sometimes they are suitable for more than one section but many times there are two threads on the same thing going and I will respond to both without realizing it so I am either repeating myself or continuing one thought across two threads. Plus it reminds me of bumping.

I don't know. this is a big forum with lots of members posting about their own individual issues, and if we did that, either that member would have to search for an existing topic on that issue, or start their own official member thread (so all their posts about what ever go in that thread), the idea of that puts me off and drove me away from another site. the way it could work though is for comunity threads like I see a thread in general social chat called how are you feeling today, and also in the coffee house same with checkin thread and and what are you eating/ drinking. now that makes sense if it worked like that |

topic descriptions.
when you create a new thread, having a box next to the title box where you can write a short description of what the topic is about. I think that would be cool |

It's quite often that I come across insightful posts that have general usage not only applicable to the thread maker they are helping, but in my life and probably many others as well.
So I was thinking, perhaps an option to bookmark posts? The uses of such a function would be to go back and read them, maybe as a reminder in your life to heed the words of a post you bookmark. You could even refer to such a post with intent to help someone in a thread you thought of posting. I know there's a like function which sort of serves a similar purpose. But there are more uses for a like than there is a bookmark. Im sure the majority of posters have liked numerous posts that it would be time consuming to go through all of them to find one that could help you atm. Or, you could use the like function just for that. In which case, a bookmark option is unnecessary. I just realized that as I finished this post. But I thought of it for a while and have already typed a lot so im gonna post this anyways. Thanks for your time. Actually, I might have a better idea. How about a thread revival pop up for each forum. Specifically threads that are no longer on the first page and were left unanswered either from OP not responding to posts, lack of replies, or just ignored after the OP was the last one to message on their thread still asking for help. That sounds difficult to implement, right? Well, no worries... Doc will figure something out |

But, yeah, the Forums Index and path links could be a bit more prominent or larger. |

I wish the BDD section would get a description next to it.
I don't know why it bothers me so much, maybe it's just because so many of the other sections have descriptions |

I'd also like (rather than being able to access the chatroom from any page), only being able to access it from a link called chat
so logical |

How about a forum for each type of psychology related proffesion? Therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, etc etc.
That might be a lot though. Some might not gain as much traction as others and end up as a deserted forum like a few on here. So perhaps if by any chance this suggestion would be considered. There could be one forum for all these proffessions. "Proffesional Psychologists forum" or something of the like. |

forums for diffrent countries.
I'm not saying every country in the world, but a UK one, and US one, and an international one it could be that some members here want to connect pacifically with certain people from a certain country, or may want to speak the native language to make them feel at home. failing that, a penpal forum their's loads of posts I'm looking for such and such, why not? |
